Snow advisory issued for northwest Montana |
January 23, 2018 |
The National Weather Service, Missoula, has
issued a winter weather advisory for the
Kootenai/Cabinet region of northwest Montana, in
effect from 5 p.m. today through 5 p.m.
Wednesday, calling for, of all things, snow!
Accumulations of two to five inches are expected
region-wide, with more expected in isolated
areas, including the Yaak.
The snow is expected to make travel sketchy,
especially during the Wednesday morning commute
on Highway 2 between Libby and Kalispell,
Highway 37 from Libby to Eureka, Highway 93 from
Eureka to Whitefish and on Bull Lake Road.
A winter weather advisory for snow means periods
of snow will cause primarily travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
The latest road conditions for the state you are
calling from can be obtained by calling 511. |
