Up to a foot of valley snow expected Thursday |

The National Weather Service has issued a winter
storm watch for heavy snow in North Idaho,
effective all day Thursday.
Heavy snow is possible with up to a foot of new
snow in the valleys and up to two feet at higher
elevations.
This much snow is expected to make travel
extremely difficult, particularly for the
Thursday evening commute, with slick roads and
limited visibility. In addition, snow could
bring down trees and power lines, resulting in
power outages. |
