ISP releases information on yesterday's
fatal Highway 2 auto accident

The Idaho State Police is now releasing
information regarding the fatal automobile
accident that occurred yesterday, May 7, at
Milepost 67, near Sater's Auction on US Highway
2.
The collision occurred just before 9:00 am.
According to the Idaho State Police, Keri
Bodnar, of Moyie Springs, was stopped in the
westbound lane of Highway 2, waiting to turn
into Sater's Auction. Jennie Starr, age 68, of
Bonners Ferry, was also traveling westbound in
her 1997 Subaru Legacy, and struck Bodnar's
waiting vehicle from behind. The impact pushed
Bodnar's car across the eastbound lane and into
the ditch.
The ISP reports that Ms. Bodnar had no
significant injury. She was wearing a seatbelt
at the time of the accident.
Ms. Starr, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was
injured and was transported to Boundary
Community Hospital via Boundary Ambulance. She
later died at the hospital. |
