Winter weather advisory now a warning
|
January 28, 2014 |
The winter storm advisory issued this morning
has been cancelled, and a winter storm warning
calling for three to six inches of valley snow,
effective from 1 a.m. Wednesday through 4 p.m.
Thursday has been put in its place.
The warning calls for moderate to heavy snow
showers to develop overnight before waning in
the valleys late Wednesday, though moderate to
heavy snow showers are expected to continue in
the mountains into Thursday, bring six to 11
inches of snow to higher elevations.
Travel is expected to deteriorate tonight and
continue to worsen through Wednesday. Motorists
are advised to use extra caution and allow
additional time to r4each their destinations.
A weather warning indicates a higher certainty
of the forecast in the coverage area, with
includes Boundary, Bonner Counties and portions
Kootenai County in Idaho and much of northeast
Washington. |
