Bonner County crash claims Post Falls man

A head on crash this morning on Highway 95 near
Sagle claimed the life of a Post Falls man, sent
an elderly Thompson Falls woman to the hospital
and shut down traffic for about two and a half
hours.
According to the Idaho State Police, Barbara A.
Farrington, 70, Thompson Falls, Montana, was
traveling south, driving a 2003 Ford Focus, when
she veered into the northbound lane near
milepost 467.5, hitting a 1999 Ford Escort
driven by Darrel C. Kirking, 61, Post Falls,
head on at about 7:26 a.m.
Kirking was pronounced dead at the scene,
Farrington was transported to Kootenai Medical
Center, Coeur d'Alene.
The collision remains under investigation. |
