Man hospitalized after Long Bridge crash

A two-vehicle collision on the south end of the
Long Bridge in Sandpoint this morning sent one
man to the hospital and closed Highway 95 at
milepost 471 for 2
1/2 hours.
According to the Idaho State Police, Jay D.
Armstrong, 34, Sandpoint, was driving a 1984
Toyota pickup north at about 8:23 a.m. when he
crossed into the southbound lane, hitting
Charles C. Fedorko, 33, also of Sandpoint, who
was traveling south in a 1987 Ford Bronco,
head on.
Armstrong was transported to Kootenai Medical
Center, Coeur d'Alene, for injuries sustained in
the collision.
In addition to Idaho State Police, Sandpoint
City Police and the Bonner County Sheriff's
Office assisted at the scene. |
