A lawyer from the Coeur d’Alene office of Idaho
Legal Aid Services will be in Bonners Ferry on
Monday, October 28, to meet with low-income
Boundary County residents who have legal
problems or questions.
Legal Aid’s lawyers provide free legal help with
the following: problems with government benefit
programs, including TAFI (welfare), Food Stamps,
Medicaid, Medicare, SSI, Social Security, and
county assistance; tenants’ problems with
landlords, including evictions and repairs;
foreclosures of subsidized mortgages; customer
problems with utility companies; and problems
dealing with creditors.
Those interested in meeting with the lawyer on
the fourth Monday of each month can schedule a
time to meet by calling the Bonners Ferry Food
Bank at (208) 267-3663 or the Legal Aid office
in Coeur d’Alene at (208) 667-9559. These
telephone numbers may also be used throughout
the month to seek legal help from Idaho Legal
Aid Services for problems that cannot wait until
the next monthly visit to Bonners Ferry. |
