City residents should lock vehicles

September 1, 2013 |
It's not something most Bonners Ferry residents
want to hear, but city police are reluctantly
encourage residents to lock their vehicles after
a spate of brazen break-ins over Labor Day
weekend.
The numerous break-ins have been reported at
widely separated locations and at varied times,
some in the dark of night, some in broad
daylight. In some cases, nothing is found to be
missing, but glove boxes and compartments are
left open and property has obviously been gone
through.
In nearly all cases the doors of the vehicles
hit were not locked.
In others, thefts were reported, including one
in which the only thing missing was a carton of
cigarettes. |
