'66 Mustang stolen, reward offered

A Boundary County family who'd been out of state
for nearly a week returned home Friday to
discover a somewhat unusual burglary, and
they're offering a $1,000 reward to bring what
appears to be an unusually brazen culprit to
justice.
What makes this theft unusual is that in
addition to items that are easy to cart off, the
thieves who hit the home on Trout Creek Road
sometime last week also made off with a car.
One that looked very nice, but didn't run. In
the final phases of a long and meticulous
restoration, this beautiful 1966 Mustang had
some critical parts missing, most notably a
radiator.
Whoever took this rig didn't just drive it away,
they had to have either stowed it in a van or
loaded it onto a trailer to abscond with it ...
and by whatever means used, they made away with
many of the parts needed to get the car running,
and more.
The Boundary County Sheriff's Office is asking
for information from anyone who may have seen
anything out of the ordinary on that rarely
traveled road just off the Westside road; call
(208) 267-3151, extension 0.
The folks who worked so hard at the restoration
want this beauty back, and they're
offering$1,000 as an incentive to save it.
Call (530) 307-3626 with any help you can offer. |
