BSDRT hosting state conference

The Boundary Search and Dive Rescue Team is
hosting this years Idaho State Search and Rescue
Association summer training conference June
21-22.
The conference has been approved for law
enforcement training, and we have volunteers
from Search and Rescue groups from around Idaho,
British Columbia and Montana, along with law
enforcement from Sheriffs Departments in Idaho
signed up to attend.
On Wednesday and Thursday, independent of
conference, a 16 hour certified wilderness first
aid course, taught by Selkirk Outdoor
Leadership, will be offered, and on Friday, the
Kootenai County Sheriffs Office presenting a
course on searching rivers, lakes and safety
when working around water.
There'll be classes on GPS navigation, a class
on tracking taught by the Border Patrol Tracker
and Idaho Trackers Association
On Saturday, there will be a MedStar Helicopter
safety course and a wilderness survival taught
by Fairchild Air Force Base survival
instructors.
Boundary Search and Dive rescue is meeting at
6:30 p.m. this evening at the County Waterways
building, where plans for the conference are to
be finalized. Those interested are welcome to
