Valley View Elementary
Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week, and
here at Valley View, we have a great deal to be
thankful for!
I have experienced firsthand the long hours
outside of the “bell schedule” the staff of
Valley View spends preparing for your children.
Please consider showing appreciation for your
child’s teacher and the Valley View Support
Staff through cards, flowers, treats, gifts,
handshakes and hugs.
Pictures and poems from your child are always
special!
As the year rolls on, a few events need
additional attention and preparation. A letter
explaining the Talent Show was published Friday
(Valley View
looking to showcase student talent.)
It is required to have parent permission and to
audition before a child will be signed up for
the big show! This is a fun and heartwarming
event!
Another activity to prepare for is the Knowledge
Fair on May 16. All fourth grade students need
to prepare an Idaho Report; all fifth graders
are working on a science or academic assignment.
This event will go into the evening and feature
a free meal, followed by the dessert auction!
This brings back a little piece of Evergreen
School and will provide financial support for
our children.
A third event will show appreciation to our
volunteers, who we could not live without. On
June 3, we will entertain and feed these fine
people. An invitation will be sent out soon. If
we miss you, please give us a call!
The volunteers will then join us for the staff
vs. fifth grade kickball game.
