Breakfast menu announced ... pancakes!

March 30, 2013 |
After two years without a griddle, the Bonners
Ferry Rotary Club's annual CommUNITY Breakfast
April 20 is bringing back an old favorite ...
real griddle fried pancakes!
For the past two years, guests have less than
enjoyed pancake counterparts; frozen replicas,
French toast sticks. While those breakfasts
weren't bad, they weren't quite as good as the
Rotary Club wanted them to be.
This year, the breakfast is changed from fall to
spring and from school to the Valley Event
Center at the fairgrounds ... where a a hot
griddle awaits.
"We have been able to go back to good old
homemade pancakes," Said Rotarian Linda Alt.
As if that news wasn't good enough, the rest of
the menu should well entice; breakfast burritos,
biscuits and fine county gravy, orange slices,
fresh orange juice, coffee and tea.
If the menu doesn't tempt, the price should ...
it's free!
You don't have to be poor or needy ... though if
you are, you're welcome. The Rotary Club free
CommUNITY breakfast is more about community, of
seeing old friends and making new ones.
The Rotary Club is also sending out a request to
the best artisans and artists in the world to
donate works for their silent auction, which
helps fund over $10,000 a year scholarships to
give local students support and incentive to
excel.
