M&O results in; levy passes |

For the first time in years, a school district
M&O levy has passed on its first run. With
31-percent of registered voters going to the
polls, 56.5 percent approved the measure, with a
vote of 969 in favor to 747 opposed. The levy will provide the district $1.4-million for each of the next two years. The measure passed in all but two of six precincts, as well as by absentee voters. In the Bonners Ferry/Kootenai Precinct, the vote was 134 yes to 89 no, in Naples it passed 115 to 70, North Bonners Ferry 189 to 111 and in he Valley View precinct 157 to 81. It fell in the Moyie Springs precinct, 169 to 205, and in the Copeland precinct, 68 to 79. |
