There's a new building supply store in town;
after months of work, Badger Building Center, 34
Swift Lane off Highway 95 at the top of the
North Hill, opened its doors to customers on
Monday.
It's not named in honor of the Bonners Ferry
Badgers, but after owner Lee Badger, Post Falls,
and it's the fourth building supply store he's
opened in the region, joining outlets in Post
Falls, Sandpoint and Kalispell, Montana.
"Lee's wanted to come to Bonners Ferry for 20
years," said employee Rich Carvalho, "and here
we are!"
Construction on the new Badger Building Center,
by Andrews Construction, Bonners Ferry, began in
September.
"Tim and Andy were outstanding," Carvalho said.
"They did a great job."
Badger
Building Center offers a full array of retail
building materials and supplies, from
construction grade dimensional lumber, oak and
birch plywood and oak lumber to cement, blocks,
tools, caulking, hardware and more, and caters
to everyone from professional builders to the
do-it-yourselfer.
The crew all have extensive backgrounds in
construction, and the experience to help make
those do-it-yourself projects a snap.
"We specialize on the do-it yourselfer but cater
to everyone," Carvalho said. "If it's not here,
we can get it for you."
Badger Building Center is open from 7:30 a.m. to
5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to
4 p.m. on Saturday. To find out more, call (208)
267-0002. |
