January 10, 2013 |
The January 23 deadline for letters of interest
from those interested in filling the vacant zone
2 trustee position on the Boundary County School
District 101 board is fast approaching, and
those who'd like to be considered are encouraged
to submit their letters.
According to district clerk Diane Cartwright,
three letters of interest have been submitted
since the vacancy was announced in November to
replace Tim Bertling, Moyie Springs, who
resigned after 11 years on the board.
According to Cartwright, sitting board members
will set up interviews with the candidates prior
to the February 5 board meeting, to be held at
Naples Elementary, and the successful candidate
will be named and sworn in at that meeting.
The appointee will complete the vacant term and
run for election at the next annual Trustee
election to be held on Tuesday, May 21.
A complete description of Zone 2 can be seen at
the District Office, 6577 Main, Suite 101,
Bonners Ferry, or on the District web site at
www.bcsd101.com.
Letters of interest will be accepted at the
District Office until 5 p.m. Wednesday, January
23, 2013.
