The National weather Service, Spokane, issued a
winter weather advisory including Boundary
County for possibly heavy snow today and Friday.
The advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
today.
According to the National Weather Service, two
winter storm systems will move through the
region today, with a brief lull tonight followed
by another system on Friday.
Iti s expected that today's systems will drop up
to three inches in the valleys and up to six
inches at higher elevations. Snow is expected to
develop this morning, and become heavier this
afternoon and evening, making driving conditions
hazardous, with slick and possibly icy roads and
limited visibility.
Early morning snows are likely to melt off, but
as temperatures drop the snow is expected to
begin accumulating by late morning to early
afternoon. The heaviest snows in this systems
are expected to be along the Highway 95 corridor
north of Sandpoint and up to Eastport.
