BFHS Freshmen Day Thursday |
August 25, 2012 |
All Bonners Ferry High School freshmen are
invited to a day of events beginning
with orientation at 8 a.m. Thursday, August 30,
in the high school auditorium. Buses will be picking up students at outlying schools, with the bus leaving Mt. Hall Elementary at 7:15 a.m. and Evergreen and Naples Elementaries at 7:30 a.m. A light breakfast will be served, and then the fun begins! New Bonners Ferry High School Principal Kirk Hoff and Vice Principal Steven Morton will introduce themselves and explain what's expected of freshmen now that they're in high school. Class schedules will be handed out, lockers will be assigned and new high school students will be given te grand tour, all facilitated by this year's leadership students and new leadership class instructor Luke Omodt. In between all that activity, there'll be games and raffles to keep things fun and exciting! Buses will return to the outlying schools around noon. But that's not all! At 6 p.m., freshmen and their parents are invited back to the high school for the Freshman Potluck Picnic, which will be held on the lawn behind the school. The high school is providing hamburgers, hot dogs, plates and beverages; those whose last names end in the letters A through M are asked to bring a salad and those whose names begin with the letters N through Z are asked to bring a dessert. At 7 p.m., the teaching staff, including this year's new teachers, will be introduced to mingle with both parents and students to answer any questions you may have, and again, there will be raffles to make it even more exciting! Bonners Ferry High School is located at 6485 Tamarack Lane. To find out more, call (208) 267-3149. |
