Vacationer finds bad hunting
|
June 14, 2012 |
A Roy, Washington, man with a vacation cabin in
Boundary County came over to do some hunting,
and it turned out to be an expensive trip.
Instead of hunting, he did some poaching.
Last week, Delton Repnow, 64, pled guilty to
four misdemeanor game violations and was ordered
to pay $7,980 in fines, give up his hunting
privileges for two years and serve two years
probation. In the plea deal, ten additional
charges were dismissed.
According to court records, an anonymous tip led
Idaho Fish and Game officers to launch an
investigation. Officers seized several deer and
a mountain lion taken illegally, and recovered
two mounted owls from the cabin. |
