Bonners Ferry Rotary celebrating a
decade |
February 11, 2012 |
They're a small club, and they don't attract a
lot of local attention. Members just do things
... giving credit to all but themselves.
Their motto is "service above self," and May 24,
this amazing group will celebrate a decade of
good deeds.
The members of the Bonners Ferry Rotary Club
have, for ten years, promoted what's best in
this community, quietly. Their logo appears on
flyers across the community ... yet, by design,
few who enjoy the many occasions and events they
make possible know how they came to be.
They just came to have a great time and to enjoy
the offerings of the best community in the
world, doing what little they could to help.
On Thursday, May 24, a quiet bunch of people
will gather together to whisper about their
accomplishments.
They don't want a lot of publicity ... but they
do want everyone whose ever been involved in the
Bonners Ferry Rotary Club since its inception to
know that they're not only welcome, but
encouraged, to attend.
Places are being set for around 100 people, but
those who've appreciated all that the Rotary has
done for the community anticipate that that's
only a fraction of the seats that will be
needed.
The 10th anniversary celebration of the Bonners
Ferry Rotary is taking place at the Kootenai
River Brewing Company beginning at 6 p.m.
Thursday, May 24, followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
Tickets are available now, and they're only $20
per person ... you can reserve your seat by
