Where is the money going? |

So it begins. The boxes, the pleas, the
fundraisers, the woe are the children of
Boundary County.
Well, for the third year in a row, Boundary
County School District 101 has received $2.4
million per year. That is $200,000 a month. The
money comes from the levy that passed for a
second time. That money, I believe, can be spent
on anything.
So where is close to one quarter of a million
dollars per month going?
Seems to me that perhaps, though well
intentioned, the energy and effort put into
these “drives” “for the children," be channeled
into a different community need. Maybe something
for the people who are paying the bill. |
