Thoughts on Boundary County Sheriff election |
February 27, 2016 |
February 24, 2016
To the Editor:
I would like to share a few words about one of
our candidates running for sheriff, a good
friend of mine, Dave Kramer.
I met Dave Kramer about seven years ago when I
joined Search and Rescue. It was my first
encounter with emergency units or law
enforcement of any kind. As time passed I became
President of Search and Rescue. While I was
President, Dave worked closely with me, while
maintaining his position in the Police
Department, to continue to build the team.
Throughout the year, Dave would apply for grants
on behalf of Search and Rescue, recruiting funds
for much needed equipment, and bringing our unit
up to speed for the challenges at hand.
As I recap, I realize the dedication it takes to
be part of SAR, and Kramer has been doing it for
over 30 years of dedicated volunteer work for
our county.
For the few years I had the opportunity to work
with Dave Kramer, I have seen what I believe is
exactly what Boundary County needs at this time.
With burglaries and drugs on the rise in
Boundary County, and vandalism and increased
bomb threats in our schools, Dave Kramer will
take these problems and make them his own.
Dave Kramer is the most qualified. I believe by
the grace of God and the right Sheriff we can
establish community in Boundary County once
again. That is why in the 2016 election for
Sheriff I will be casting my vote for Dave
Kramer.
