An open letter to BFHS students |
October 16, 2013 |
Dear Bonners Ferry High School Students, I don't know where to begin ... before I start off I will just say that I am addressing the school as a whole, not anyone in particular. Anyhow, I thought that the whole bomb threat situation last year would be over by now, but I guess not. The students that think this is funny are no better than a preschool child. You wonder why the government wants to take away rights we have like owning guns for example. It is shameful that I have to find out that there were more bomb threats, once again, that made national media and is now all over my friends Facebook pages that don't even know where Bonners Ferry is, in fact half of them don't even know where Idaho is. When I was in high school there it was a nice place to go to school, we had a lot of freedom and liberties and did not take advantage of them. But now because of these terrorist activities you now have yourself a closed campus and bring disgrace to the people of our town. I signed up for the military directly out of high school to fight for the rights of the people, my town, and my family. It makes me sick to my stomach that I am sacrificing my life to protect the people of our country when there are students in my old high school that are no better than the enemies we face at war. I love my town and when people ask me where I am from I am proud to tell them that I am from Bonners Ferry, Idaho, one of the friendliest places around. But now if I tell people that they will think "oh isn't that the place where they keep having bomb threats?" All in all I love where I grew up, I love the people and I love where I come from. We get the privilege to grow up in a beautiful location with amazing people. But to you students who are ruining the reputation of my town, your fellow classmates, and the people that are from all parts of the united states fighting for your freedom, GROW THE EFF UP. I know that this seems like a rant and rave, but its not. It is me trying to get a message across to the future of the united states and of the town I call home. Please like and share — feeling disgusted. |
