CommUNITY Breakfast a great success |
April 25, 2013 |
The recent Free CommUNITY Breakfast was a huge
success for everyone involved - the Badger
Boosters, the students, the community, and the
Bonners Ferry Rotary Club. As always is the case when big changes are made in an event, we wondered if changing the time of year and location would lessen the number attending. The community did not let us down as over 400 enjoyed breakfast and visiting with friends and neighbors. The crowd was large, the student servers did an outstanding job and the Boosters showed their experience in preparing the meal. Big thanks go to Pam Moe and Sandy Garner for their planning and work. Rotary members collected items, set up and manned the Silent Auction which was also quite successful. Nearly $2,000 was added to the scholarship fund after expenses and a donation to Booster Club. This would not have been possible without the generous donations of food and supplies from our local grocery stores - Akins' Harvest Foods, Safeway and Super 1 Foods. Thank you for all you do for the community. Thank you also goes to the following businesses and individuals who donated items for the Silent Auction: Sharon's Country Store, Bread Basket Bakery, Accurate Collision, Jeanie's Haircuts, Bonners Ferry Log Inn, Apple Creek Propagators, Wilma Devore, Dr. Marty Becker, JB's Tire & Automotive, Larson's, David McIntosh DDS, David Siebenthaler, Pat and Xyla Carson, Ron and Leanne Sukenik, Clarence Jones, Marciavee Cossette, Greg Johnson, Marianne Duarte, Spring Hill Bagels, Bonners Ferry Veterinary Clinic, Super 1 Foods, Oxford Inc, Tim Tucker, The Hair Connection, Bear Highland Cattle, Sugar Plum Floral, Mark and Delia Owens, Chic n' Chop, Fry Healthcare Foundation, McCoy's Home Interiors, Bonners Ferry Nursery, Mugsy's and Boundary Tractor. Thank you again Boundary County for your support! |
