Some questions on the sheriff's office
|
September 2, 2012 |
I monitor the Real Clear Politics average
polling numbers daily.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html.
Primarily, I pay attention to the president’s
job approval rating. I find it amazing that
typically, less than 50% of Americans disapprove
of the job Obama is doing.
I find it more amazing that usually, about 47%
approve. That is a staggering number.
I can only assume these 47% are terribly
misinformed.
I also find it peculiar that about 47% of
Americans pay no income tax.
When it comes to local politics, specifically
our Sheriff’s office, where do you stand? Are
you informed, misinformed, or uninformed?
Here are some questions you need to ask yourself
as citizens of Boundary County.
· What is the Sheriff’s primary duty?
· What do I expect of my Sheriff?
· Has my current Sheriff fulfilled his duty and
met or exceeded my expectations during his 18+
years in the Sheriff’s department?
· What do I know of my Sheriff’s Office?
· Have I had any interaction with my Sheriff or
his deputies, and was I satisfied?
· Am I happy with my Sheriff’s Office?
· Do I think crime has gone up or down since
1994 in Boundary County?
For our current Sheriff, I believe there is one
more question that must be answered to your
satisfaction…
· Why is our current Sheriff running for
re-election again and is that reason adequate?
Based on your personal answers, who do you think
should be in the highest elected position in
Boundary County politics?
Please check next week for my personal answers
to these questions…
