Unneeded traffic adds to flood damage ... stay off! |
June 6, 2011 |
Thanks for the outlet for news, etc., that
your new site provides.
Today, I want to talk about unnecessary
vehicle traffic on the Kootenai River during
high water periods.
This traffic increases the erosion damage
many times more than the natural river high
water. The press,
commissioners, et al, have no need to
go on tour and “see” with no heed to the
result of their actions. The Police should
keep their boats off the river unless
someone is missing or in trouble, period.
I understand that there is necessary
traffic, but please make sure it is
necessary.
Thank you.
