New Members for Delta Kappa Gamma
March 26, 2012
Gloria Bauer and Susan Stagliano
Upsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International is proud to welcome two new members: Susan Stagliano and Gloria Bauer. The meeting was held on Saturday, March 17, at the Kootenai River Inn.

Susan Stagliano has taught Kindergarten at Valley View Elementary for a number of years. She is a dedicated education professional who passionately advocates for her students and parents.

Gloria Bauer is recently retired, but taught for many years at Naples School in Kindergarten - second grades. Gloria finds her retired time busy helping her sister, Paulette Kettner, with health records at the schools. Upsilon Chapter is richer for their membership.

Delta Kappa Gamma is a society of women educators, with chapters reaching out internationally. Locally, Upsilon Chapter is made up of members from Bonner, Boundary, and Shoshone Counties.

The chapter sponsors a Student of the Month program at Bonners Ferry High School, recognizing an outstanding student from our school. The group also contributes to "Schools for Africa," and "World Fellowship:" two programs sponsored by the International organization.

At the March meeting also, the chapter recognized with a memorial service the loss of two members: Doris Kerns and Evelyn Smith from the Silver Valley. Their losses will touch many society members in Idaho.
