The congregation at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 6850 Denver Street, recently presented checks worth $600 to two worthy local groups dedicated to helping.

"Members of the church are glad to be able to help these organization's programs," said church treasurer Zita Pace.
Church treasurer Zita Pace, left, was proud to present a check for $200 to community stalwart Christine Villanueva, manager of the Community Food Bank, who, despite her own health setbacks, continues to serve the community she loves ...
... and another for $400 presented to Gini Woodward, the local representative of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
