Ken Carpenter celebrating 60

August 6, 2011
Ken Carpenter ... lifelong Boundary County resident, Army veteran and all aroud great guy, is opening his yard, at the request of his wife, Joy, his goats, chickens and his weiner dogs, to a celebration of his 60th birthday. It's taking place at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 27, at his place in Moyie Springs.

Revellers are being asked to stick around until Monday, August 29, his actual birthday.

You  can bring tents.

Except for the promise of unlimited dabauchery, it's not likely that many people will attend. He upset way too many people with his articles for the Bonners Ferry Herald to actually have many friends.

Those who claim him as a friend wonder why. He's just that kind of guy.

Joy Carpenter will be sitting at the edge of the driveway, attempting to lure people in, and Ken will greet attendees as they arrive.

Based on initial analysis by the Foundation of Studies, Oxbury, this will be a fine affair, and those who don't attend will be spending the rest of their lives wondering why not.

If you can't find it merely by the level of activity, the party can be found at 184 Moyie Street.
