William “Bill” Daniel Fleck, 45 passed away on January 20, 2017, in Vancouver, Washington, surrounded by his five siblings, three children, cousins and friends. The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 4, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry.

Bill was a longtime resident of Vancouver where he worked in the construction field remodeling houses and commercial properties.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Shearer (Meeker) of Bonners Ferry and her husband Harry Shearer, siblings Joe, Jon and his wife Sandy, Allan and his wife Jennifer, Tony and his wife Pamala, and Cindy Calene and her husband, Melvin, uncles Dan Meeker and his wife Karen and Jim Meeker and his wife Debbie, aunt Pat of Bonners Ferry; children Emma, Jesse and Chloe and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Joseph Fleck, his grandparents, Bob and Blanche Meeker and William and Ethel Fleck, his aunt Joan Meeker and his longtime partner, Sara Meade.

Bill was born on June 29, 1971, in Keflavik, Iceland. His early childhood was spent living in Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana and Edwards AFB in California. He moved to Bonners Ferry in 1978, where he attended school until his graduation in 1989. After high school, he attended the University of Idaho for several years where he met and later married Teresa Linch. They had a child, Emma Fleck, and later divorced.

Bill had a long term relationship with Sara Meade of Moscow, Idaho, and they had two children, Jesse and Chloe. Sara and Bill lived in several places throughout the Pacific Northwest, and settled in Vancouver, Washington, where they resided together until her death in 2013.

Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors, listening to music, attending rock concerts with his siblings, rooting on the WSU Cougars, and a good barbecue with family and friends. Bill will be greatly missed by friends and family.
