John Alexander Clark, 88, passed away peacefully
with his family by his side on July 31 at
Boundary Community Hospital's Extended Care
Facility. Private arrangements were held. John was born in Kimberly, Wisconsin on November 25, 1925 to Ivy and Emma Clark. After moving with his family to Yakima, Washington, he graduated fromWhitworth College in 1947 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 34 years. Following retirement, he enjoyed playing chess, playing the piano, and reading. He volunteered for many years at Valley View Elementary School listening to first and second graders read. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Irma; children, Jeff and Julianne; and sister, Betty of Tucson, AZ. John was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bonners Ferry. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial donations may be made to the Boundary County Library or Cat Tales Zoo in Mead, Washington. |
