Janna
Michelle Mong, 16, was the last of five children
and although we, as her parents, were not aware
at the time of her birth, she was the completion
of yet another family the Lord God had made. Born February 23, 1996, in a serene, rural, Pennsylvania midwife's home to Daryl and Sandy Mong, Janna was instantly one of the five joys of our lives. Growing up in the east, she treasured nothing more than her three older brothers and her older sister. Their interests in life became her satisfactions, remaining that way to the day of her passing. Additionally she held most dear her three nephews and always a cat or kitten or two. Moving to Bonners Ferry in January, 2006, she continued to be home schooled until becoming a student at the Kootenai Valley Mennonite School in September, 2008. Her circle of friends enlarged within the community and church settings until the moment came earlier this year when she met the Lord Jesus Christ, the Friend closer than a brother. Thrilled to be invited to become an employee of the Bread Basket Bakery at the close of the past school year, she looked forward to serving together with her fellow coworkers. Over the last several months she developed a genuine interest in reading, in addition to a widened circle of friends in the church community. She left this world on July 26, 2012, for higher ground while swimming with her brother James. Surviving are many relatives in the east, including her maternal grandmother, her eldest brother and family, her sister and family, and several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Locally she is survived by her parents, Daryl and Sandy Mong and her two brothers, Josiah and James Mong. To say Janna will be missed by all who knew her on this earth is the best testimony her life may offer. We have lost our last but our heavenly Father has gained His first -- a jewel. Family and friends are invited to sign Janna's book at www.bonnersferryfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. |
