ornithologist Brian Baxter for the Winter
Birding class Saturday, March 10, at North Idaho
College at Sandpoint, located at 102 South
Euclid.

meet at the south end of NIC at Sandpoint at
9:00 a.m. on March 10. It will last until about
3:00 p.m., and the cost is $49.
“We will focus on spotting, identifying, and
enjoying the winged wildlife of our area
including birds of prey, waterfowl, woodpeckers,
and songbirds,” Baxter said. “Bring lunch,
binoculars, spotting scopes, and snowshoes if
you have them.”
Baxter wrote the cover article in Sandpoint
Magazine Winter 2017 entitled “Wings of
Winter.” He has degrees in both Forestry and
Wildlife Management with more than 40 years of
experience working in wildlife fields as well as
more than 15 years teaching outdoor educational
programs. |
