There's a new club at Bonners Ferry High School, and all BFHS students interested in the shooting sports are invited to check out the recently approved extracurricular activity!

The Bonners Ferry Clay Target Youth Club practices every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Bonners Ferry Gun Club on Highway 2 across from Sater's Auction. Club advisor is high school science/chemistry teacher Kevin Campbell. Charter members are Nick White, Conner Black, Falen Everhardt, Blake Copeland, Dale Cook, Ryan Flores and Molly Flower.

"As Superintendent of Boundary County School District 101, I am excited to see this new club at Bonners Ferry High School," Gary Pfleuger said. "This extra-curricular program is a welcome addition to our school. Our students will learn to hone a new skill with expert adult mentors and coaches. In addition, to participate in this club all members will be required to remain as students with good academic and behavioral conduct at all times."

Interested students can call Coach Lonny Jelinek at (208) 610-9411, or visit the gun club for practice.
