August 30, 2017
The Boundary County Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit and run collision that occurred this morning on Highway 95, approximately 1/2 mile north of Franklin Street. The unknown female driver of a black Chevrolet standard cab pickup, about a 2000 model, with a black, cab-height canopy had been travelling south, in the northbound lane of Highway 95.

The victim had been travelling north, in the northbound lane of the highway and narrowly avoided being struck head on by the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle sideswiped the victim and continued south, still in the northbound lane.

The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. The suspect driver was described as a white, female adult, about 25 to 30 years of age, wearing dark glasses. She had dark colored hair, worn in a pony tail and was said to have been talking on a cell phone at the time of the collision.

The suspect vehicle should have damage to its driver's side, along with possible maroon colored paint transfers from the victim's vehicle.

If you saw this incident or have any information pertaining to the whereabouts of the suspect vehicle, or information about the identity of the female driver, you are urged to contact the sheriff's office at (208) 267-3151.
