Peter and Wendy set to fly to Neverland

As usual, there was no dearth of talent on hand for auditions for the Bonners Ferry production this weekend of the Missoula Children's Theatre's "Peter and Wendy,: as 78 young local actors and actresses tried out for roles!
When Captain Hook sends his right-hand man, Smee, on a quest to capture Peter Pan, it’s seemingly business as usual … at first. Little does Hook realize what fantastic adventures await him and his pirate posse in their search for the elusive Peter Pan.

After highly successful auditions earlier this week with 78 local young actors and actresses taking part, Missoula Children's Theatre's performance of "Peter and Wendy" will be presented at Becker Auditorium at Bonners Ferry High School at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 10, and at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students, and $25 for families. They are available at the door.

The local cast features Judah Draxlir as Peter Pan and Elizabeth Bourassa as Peter’s Shadow. Playing Tinker Bell is India Kucherry and Tobey Jensen, Lucy Lang, Meggie Kahenek, Corine Spain, Montana Merrill, Melanie Campbell, Jasius Draxlir play the Lost Boy.

Henry Willis and Ahanu Fasani play John and Michael Darling, Mr. and Mrs. Darling are Matthias Merrill and Isabelle Gold, and Taylor Merrill and Ellie Rutherford play Nana and Liza.

The notorious Captain Hook is Kaleb Huseby, who will sail with his pirate crew Carina Carle´, Zac Carver, Katie Cushman, Karis Draxlir, Eliosa Gorino, William Hollabaugh, Christen Jones, Mina Lang and Alana Nash.

Cana Jones is Tiger Lily and Lily Butler, Annabeth Comer, Sara Cummings, Natalya Tuma, Zabrielle Tuma and Maggie Weaver are the Neverlanders.

Amy Carver, Hailey Dickson, Phoebe Lang, June Marshall, Aspen Merrill and Elizabeth Ward are the Neverland Creatures, and flying their way to Neverland as Clouds are Helen Blackmore, Kordale Burt, Kyalynn Comer, Sammi Cummings, Avery Cushman, Aiden Dodd, Josiah Dodd, Chenoah Fasani, Benjamin Hollabaugh, Wyatt Lang, Addy Merrill, Cardon Pluid, Isaiah Purdom, Gunner Stevens, Brock Tuma and Collin Ward.

Behind the scenes, Emily Gorino and Morgan Martin are assistant directors and Sophie Morgen is prop master. The production is directed by the hale and hearty Scott McGee, who also acts in the role of Smee, and Casey Papas.
