Winter weather advisory for snow tonight

The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a winter weather advisory for snow, which is in effect from 7 p.m. today to 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Snow Accumulations from Colville to Bonners Ferry north to the Canadian border, up to one inch. From Chewelah to Sandpoint south to Deer Park and Athol, two to four inches.

Snow will increase this evening and continue overnight.

Winter driving conditions are expected to develop this evening. The Tuesday morning commute will likely be treacherous, especially on untreated roads.
