by Marcia Morman Director of Marketing and Communications Boundary Community Hospital ![]() This year, an Infusion Chair was purchased during the “Fund-an-Item” portion of the Gala. In addition, auction items and the sponsorships funds were enough to complete the two-year goal of the purchase of a 15-passenger, wheelchair accessible van. Now the Fry Healthcare Foundation will start looking for the perfect van. Family Night had a huge turn-out. Around 500 people came to Memorial Hall on Friday night, December 12. Some came to view the auctioned items, wreaths, and Christmas trees. Some came for the homemade cookies. Some came for the entertainment by the cub scouts, the Bonners Ferry High School Band, the Bonners Ferry High School Choir, the Boundary Community Hospital choir and the solo performance by Rebecca Huseby. But most came for a visit with Santa Claus! The next evening, The Gala Night was fun and lively. 152 guests enjoyed a fabulous catered dinner by Kootenai River Springs. Connie Broderick won around $400 dollars in the 50/50 contest. Steve and Wendy Hawks outbid others for the two Alaska Airline tickets to anywhere Alaska flies. The Russell Wilson (quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks) autographed football brought in close to $800. Linda Hiatt, Fry Healthcare Foundation President and Teresa Rae, the chairperson of Festival of Trees, and the entire Board of Directors of the foundation would like to thank the community for the amazing support received. ![]() |
