Development of the Joe Redington Sr. Junior/Senior High
School, to be built Knik Knack Mud Shack Road, took a huge step
forward November 21 as the new school's mascot and colors were
revealed at a community forum November 21.![]() According to Mat-Su Borough School District public information officer Catherine Esary, much else took place at the forum; architects presented the layout of the school-to-be, described the site, talked of traffic patterns and how the new facility will fit in with the community. Project manager Bob Bechtold spoke of planning and design phases of the $65-million school bond project. Myriad questions about the new facility from stakeholders were answered and mundane matters such as financing and development history were discussed. But it was the revelation of the new school's mascot and colors, selected by middle school students throughout the district, that highlighted the forum. |
