Borough Assembly meeting Tuesday

The Mat-Su Borough Assembly meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, in the Borough's new chambers at E350 Dahlia Avenue, Palmer.

The agenda includes public hearings on:

   • Multifamily Development Design Standards.
   • An ordinance approving the acquisition of 15 acres next to the coming Joe Redington Sr., Jr./Sr. High off Knik Goose Bay Road.
   • Several supplemental appropriations for road service areas.
   • An ordinance conveying to Wasilla Garden Terrace Estates Subdivision, lot 1, block 2, and the community water distribution system on the lot to transfer to the city all operations and maintenance of the water system that serves Garden Terrace Estates.
   • A resolution to submit a federal grant request for $850K for construction of an emergency response facility at Port Mackenzie.
   • A resolution authorizing a loan application to the State, DEC, Alaska Clean Water Fund, for $4.3-million for design, construction, and closure of cell 2a at the Central Landfill.
