The Mat-Su Borough invites you to a public open house
December 4 for the Seldon Road and Lucille Street Upgrades
project. The purpose of the meeting is to present the proposed
design for the project and discuss the potential right-of-way
needs. The proposed project will upgrade approximately 1.25 miles of Seldon Road (from North Wards Road to Kintrye Lane) and approximately 1.20 miles of Lucille Street from Spruce Avenue to Lochcarron Drive. Both road segments are owned and maintained by the Mat-Su Borough. The project limits along Seldon Road begin at Wards Road and extend east to Kintrye Lane. The project limits along Lucille Street begin at Spruce Avenue and extend north to Lochcarron Drive. Proposed improvements within the project corridor consist of: - Reconstruction and widening of the entire roadway. - Improving the intersection and approaches of the Seldon Road and Lucille Street intersection. - Improving access to Tanaina Elementary School. - Constructing a non-motorized multi-use pathway along Seldon Road and reconstructing the pathway along Lucille Street in accordance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines. Improving drainage. - Acquiring sufficient (ROW) for construction improvements. The open house will be held at Tanaina Elementary, 2550 N Lucille St, Wasilla, and you can stop by anytime between 6 and 8 p.m. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may still assist with the project team and comment on the project by reviewing project documents as they are posted to the project website (www.brooks-alaska.com/seldonrd) and send your comments via email to mycomments@brooks-alaska.com.
