Block party raises sizeable contribution

The second annual Bonners Ferry Block Party August 23 raised over $7,000 for the Memorial Park Project, and the Bonners Ferry Herald staff thanks everyone who attended.

Through donations and the proceeds of their silent auction, they raised $3,514, and on Thursday, Panhandle State Bank presented a check for an additional $3,500, the limit they set in matching funds.

"For those of you that came out to the Block party, it was a huge success," said the Herald's Jaycee Atkins. Thank you Bonners Ferry! I love this Community!"
