Winter weather advisory issued

March 4, 2011
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the North Idaho Panhandle, including Boundary County, beginning at 4 p.m. today through 10 a.m. Saturday.

Despite an almost spring-like day today, the National Weather Service says a moist storm system will move through the area, bringing light snow this afternoon and overnight, bringing about two to four inches in the valley and three to six inches at higher elevations before tapering off tomorrow to isolated snow or rain showers.

Snow accumulations could make driving hazardous overnight, and Sherman Pass is expected to be particularly hard hit.
